Step into the kitchen and start training like a professional chef! Fresh Start’s eight-week Line Cook Pre-Apprenticeship Program, hosted in partnership with Hospitality Training Academy, offers hands-on culinary training designed to help you build real skills, earn industry-recognized certifications, and prepare for your next step in the culinary field.

This immersive program includes 180 hours of training in a fully equipped kitchen, combining classroom instruction with hands-on experience—all led by experienced Chef Instructors.

What you'll gain:

  • Build essential kitchen safety and sanitation skills
  • Master culinary terminology, equipment use, and knife techniques
  • Practice poultry and fish butchery
  • Create classic mother sauces
  • Train in banquet-style cooking and large-scale food preparation

Certifications you’ll earn:

  • AZ Food Handler Certification
  • Hospitality Training Academy Certificate of Completion
  • Department of Labor Chef de Partie Certificate of Completion (earned after completing the on-the-job apprenticeship)
